Noise and Vibration Assessments

Noise and vibration can cause major issues across the property and construction sector. Noise and/or vibration sources such as transport, construction or entertainment have the potential to adversely affect the lives of individuals living and working in close proximity.

Our Acoustic Consultants provide noise and vibration impact assessments on a range of projects and can tailor the survey to suit the individual site. Noise and vibration assessments are often required by Local Authorities or Environmental Health Officers for planning purposes to assess if a development will be negatively affected by noise and/or vibration. Requirements often differ between Local Authorities but our consultants have the knowledge and experience to undertake surveys to different British Standards, typically BS4142 and BS7445.

Omnia’s Acoustics team regularly complete noise and vibration assessments during the pre-construction phase to assess the level of impact that various noise sources are expected to have on a development. Alongside this, the team can assess how the construction of the development will impact existing properties. Our consultants will make recommendations to mitigate any issues to ensure that current and future occupiers are not impacted.
